Steve Rogers
It was Steve Rogers, Captain America, who made me believe that superhero stories weren’t a waste of time and $16. When I feel the world is a terrible unsafe place to be, I watch The First Avenger. (And sometimes The Winter Soldier and Civil War back to back.) It takes just over seven hours but Steve’s commitment to doing the right thing, standing up to bullies and always being there for His People helps me have hope for us non-Super Soldiers.
Steve Rogers does what’s right, not what’s easy. That’s an ethos that I cling to in order to live with myself in this batshit nuts world.
