“Within weeks of moving to Windsor, I had my first sinus pain attack. During the most painful of these early issues, I went to the urgent care out by the expressway in a blind panic about having a weird MS symptom of overwhelming face pain. The doctor who I waited two hours to see was indifferent and blunt.

“It’s not MS, it’s the air,” he said. “The air quality is crap here. If you’re having these problems after only a couple of months, get out of here as soon as you can.”

Less than three months after arriving in Windsor, I was prescribed a steroidal nasal spray and a daily long-acting, non-drowsy allergy medication and told I was allergic to the place and to get out as fast as I can because it was never going to get any better…”
